The Project:

“Hunters of the Dead” is a roguelike real-time tactical Strategy/ Rpg taking place in a world of terror.

You are a “Hunter”! Your aim is to defeat the evil forces of the undead through a series of choices and battles. You have to use your wits while you explore the city, in order to secure the buildings you need, which can provide valuable resources such as weapons, gadgets and additional hunters! But you have to be very careful, because once the undead get to you, you won’t have to worry only for your life but for the lives of your fellow hunters as well. If one of them dies, he is gone for good!

We are doing our best to complete “Hunters of the Dead” but we need your help in order to purchase music and SFX for our game along with some other features.

SwapQuest

SwapQuest

The Project:

SwapQuest is a mix of rpg and puzzle game elements. You have to swap the tiles to build a road for the prince/princess. Collect gems, fight monsters, buy or find equipment, avoid traps, but above all don’t get caught by the evil horde at the bottom of the screen. The game features an epic journey through over a dozen different areas, each with their own unique enemies, special tiles and graphics. A branching path through the game world, two playable characters each with their own strengths, and a customizable character development allow for multiple playthroughs. A New Game+ will present an even greater challenge for all the SwapQuest experts. Add massive boss fights, character classes with powerful and diverse abilities, and an enchanting soundtrack and you’ve got a game that will keep you busy for hours and hours. A release is planned for April 2014 for iOS, Android and WinPhone.

The Team:

Rebusmind is a team of young indie game developers based in Berlin, Germany. We create games for mobile devices. We place our focus on well-known and loved concepts and improve upon them by adding a unique twist. So far we have developed and released four games for Android devices and one game for iPad. There’s also our first Windows 8 game ScapeGhost, which can be found on the Windows Store.

Goblin Quest – Escape!

The Project:

Goblin Quest: Escape! is a dungeon crawler and reverse tower defense game, designed to please both casual and serious gamers. You control Mook, a goblin that has to find a way out of dungeons while avoiding traps and towers, collecting loot and sometimes completing other objectives. You cannot attack enemies directly but you have abilities and items to help you.

There are both equipable / usable items and pieces of clothing you can obtain. The items provide passive buffs and active abilities, the outfits provide passive buffs that affect you as long as you have them equipped. Item and outfit combinations allow for dozens of different strategies on each map.

Our primary release target is mobile, but if we have enough resources we may release a PC (Windows, Mac and Linux) version of the game that’s designed to be a standalone DRM-free experience. Of course our dream would be to also release it on mainstream consoles (last- and current-gen), but I feel that is a bit out of our reach. Oh, and an OUYA version is going to be shipped as well, some time after the mobile versions.

The Team:

Our core team consists of two people. Daniel Kalmar is the lead programmer, Máté Veres is the lead designer and 2D artist. This is the first indie game for either of us. Daniel is a programmer by trade and has some professional game industry experience in mobile development. Máté has worked as a 2D artist for years, mostly doing licensed and outsourced art for other games.

Guild of Dungeoneering

The Project:

“Recruit adventurers to explore dungeons for the glory of your Guild. Build the dungeon room by room, fill it with monsters, traps and treasure .. and hope your dungeoneers have what it takes to return victorious!”

A dungeon exploration game where you don’t get to control the adventurer. Instead you lay out the dungeon one room at a time (including treasure & monsters) and he proceeds according to his AI. You want him to explore, level up, find treasures and ultimately survive – but you don’t get to directly control him.

Guild of Dungeoneering started as a small project for One Game A Month but is now being developed into a commercial game. A playable alpha is available to try out.

The Team:

Game design & programming: Colm Larkin. Colm has been making games for the last 5 years and has finished a number of smaller games in the last year. This is his first commercial game & the first time he’s had the joy of not having to use his own horrible programmer art!

Art: Fred Mangan. Fred is an artist, photographer, film-maker and ad agency art director. This is his first time working on a game!

Kraden’s Crypt

The Project:

You’ve been the last to be banished and sealed into the Kraden’s Crypt. You must make your way into the very depths where Kraden himself resides, but many dangers await! Fight alone or with your friends using the physics based combat system. Control every hurl of your spell, every swing of your weapon or every pluck of your bow. Mix and match equipment and weapons to determine your class and play style. Fight Epic bosses, hordes of enemies and why not celebrate your victories in the tavern rooms with a few friendly crypt creatures? Meet many crypt dwellers who tell their tales and encounters within the crypt. Never play the same game twice with our randomly generated dungeon layout that can catch you off guard through any given door!

The Team:

Sam and Peter foster (artists), have been practicing art and animation from a young age. They have always yearned to make a game that reflected the joys of their gaming childhood.

Ian Hern (programmer), has been playing, designing, and building video games for many years. He has completed a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. Video games are his passion and he is working towards becoming a full time indie game developer.

Brett Coop (composer), took much interest in the game at very early stage, we found his music exciting and helped breathe life into the game.

The Project:

FranknJohn is a Roguelike Action Game that will make you lose your head. Literally. Launch your head as a weapon and experiment with unique Skullcaps to overcome deadly challenges.

You play as FranknJohn, a failed experiment on a journey to uncover the truth of his existence. Awakening in the basement furnace of Dr.Harmins crazy manor, you must battle your way up through his deranged randomly generated fun-house filled with unspeakable horrors.

bitSmith Games are a 5-man team based in Dublin, Ireland. We released our first game Ku: Shroud of the Morrigan in January 2013 for iOS. We are currently developing our new game FranknJohn for PC/Mac and (hopefully) consoles. We like cake.

The Project:

Rune Lords is a collectible card game but with a gameplay twist , you have to draw runes on screen, custom gestures, to activate the card’s skill. Each player should choose from over 60 cards , divided among six element and build a team of five cards, with a maximum of one card per element.

What makes Rune Lords really stand out, is that you actually have to do something during your match, victory is not just one click away. You need strategical thinking to prepare a good card setup and the ability to use the right skills and as many of them as you’re able in the ten seconds allowed to draw the runes.

The game will feature both a single player, where you will be able to collect cards, currency and items, and a live PvP arena with a monthly reward for all players. The nostalgic and beautiful pixel art set up for a unique experience engaging older and new players from all over the globe.

Dragon Slayer Studio is a small indie team founded in the early 2013 , by 3 italian game devs : Fabio Cadario , Johnny Picciafuochi and Simone Verde. Shortly after Manon Dreijer from Netherland joined the team helping out as a pixel artist. Marc Greenwood lately joined us, taking care of music and sounds. We are a bunch of busy people trying to get a name in the mobile game industry in our spare time , developing game for everyone to enjoy.

Ten Aces

The Project:

“Ten Aces” is a tactical turn-based Rpg emphasizing on the players’ ability to predict the enemy’s actions

Ten Aces are 10 demigod siblings destined to be at war. Every one of them will be playable, along with many more characters. The game will include Permadeath and based on the players decisions and actions, the end of each Ace’s story will be different. Permadeath will exist for your characters and the enemies’. The combination of all the stories will result in a unique “ending” completely different in each playthrough, and completely different from what the other players have experienced. How would a truly dynamic story in an epic fantasy setting sound to you?

The Team:

Over a year ago five of us founded this team hoping to give life to “Ten Aces”. But we are facing obstacles. We need to cover expenses of the game, because as you can imagine “Ten Aces” is a quite large project. We hope you will support us in our effort!
